Reaching Nadir

I ran away with my own kind, as far as we could've gone at that moment.

It's been so long, my love. I've been keeping myself away from you, just as I've been keeping myself away from the poison that started seeping through my veins. When I left her, I left you. I ran away with my own kind, as far as we could've gone at that moment. Thinning my blood with the essence of my new refuge, I tried to numb the pain with this new regimen. Rejuvenating my inner being, feeding my demon to make it vigorous enough to undertake me. For it to expunge every last shred of your deadly infection.

Reaching my own nadir, I looked up and saw a familiar face. She threw me a rope, threw me back onto solid ground. Climbed on top of me and made love to me, putting my demon back in it's cage and turned then-current events to another forlorn tale of my memoirs.
