Rain of Times

She put a smile on my face, one that wouldn't fade as fast as the others.

Two reasons why you would keep checking the time, or you wanna leave, or you don't want the moment to end. For me, it was the latter..

She came over again, this time I made sure I was at the door. Nothing could go wrong anymore, and nothing did. It was all perfect. Except for the weather, it was pouring outside. Still I waited to see her presence shining from a distance. As she approached, her image became clearer. Her hand rose up and waved, I waved back. She put a smile on my face, one that wouldn't fade as fast as the others. I held on to her for a brief moment and went inside. Back to the same soft couch where it all evolved once before. We dove back into the life we've been longing to be back in for a long while, jumped into another when the first window closed again.

The cold air brought us even closer together, put us back in the moment that I could enjoy for a lifetime. Our fingers met and interwove between us. Small sparks crossed over, warmth and happiness swept upon us. The bond became unbreakable, for a while. Even in the times life wouldn't allow it, our gazes and hands found their way to each other. Five minutes to midnight time returned to our world, 1200 grains of sand remained in the hourglass. Once it was empty, our rides home arrived and tore us away from each other. But we didn't mind, we had our time together.

Our wonderful time together.. which I've been reminiscing and treasuring ever since..
